Step 1

Get your website name (takes about 5 mins)!

Your website name or address should be reflective of your business and easy to remember.

Getting a website address is also called, ‘buying’ or ‘registering’ a domain and this is done online with a ‘registrar’ and should cost around US$10 to US$13 per year. We recommend using www.namecheap.com to register your website name since they’re a top registrar with good features and service and good pricing and we’ve used them for years without issue. We recommend registering a ‘.com’ or if not available a ‘.net’. If you’re in Canada, feel free to register a ‘.ca’.

NOTE: This step is very simple and takes 5 mins. or less, but here’s a short video walkthrough, just in case you have questions πŸ™‚.

how does a website work

The basic premise of having a website is like renting. You have to rent the website name, space on the internet and the and tech to power your website. You also have to pay a website builder to build the site. Building a website usually costs lots of money and involves a lot of technicality, time and headaches. Still, many business owners go through this arduous process since a website is an extremely powerful marketing tool.

We’ll show you that you don’t have to spend thousands of dollars, many weeks and get stuck with design to get an effective website up and running. Once your website is live, we’ll keep it running for you you for 2 FULL WEEKS! If you decide to continue, you can do so from as low as US$7 per month!
